The studio
I've been recording in a purpose-built studio for over 20 years. The room is fully treated, with a large collection of microphones, instruments, pedals and outboard gear.
My studio work is heard in films, TV, commercials, stadium shows, installations, production music, and classical and pop records.

Historic recordings
Clients often ask me to match a historic recording or an existing soundtrack. I work with the composer, engineer and producer on mic setup and playing style.

Sessions I run for you
Need more than strings? I can organise your whole remote session, from booking the players to delivering finished stems. You deal with one person and receive one consistent set of files.
01The right players
I book experienced session musicians I trust, from cello, double bass, woodwind, brass and guitar to singers and specialists in traditional instruments from around the world, chosen for the style of your project.
02Budget and coordination
I give you a clear budget up front, then handle the scheduling, fees and communication with every player.
03Parts and preparation
I check parts, click tracks and guide mixes before anyone plays, and send each player exactly what they need.
04A consistent sound
Every player records to agreed mic choices, levels and file specs, so recordings from different rooms sit together in your mix.
05Running the sessions
I run each session over a live link and give notes, and you can listen in and direct in real time, or leave it with me.
06Supervised delivery
Takes are edited, comped and checked against the score, then delivered as clearly labelled stems at your session's sample rate and bit depth.
